David Pruitt

You may know him as the former host of “Real Estate Talk” with David Pruitt, but David began his career in Austin Real Estate Development in 1982, working in investor relations and platting deals with land owners. He attended the University of Texas with a major in Finance and Real Estate, and has achieved an extraordinary 40+ year career in Austin Real Estate, including more than 18 years of accomplished management.

In addition to his multiple designations, David is a Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist, which assures affluent buyers and sellers of knowledge, experience, competence, and confidence required in the luxury market. He is in the Million Dollar Guild, having closed multiple properties over $1, 000, 000. Additionally, David has earned NAR’s GREEN Designation, of which agents successfully seek out, understand, and market properties with green features.

A licensed Texas real estate Broker who has been recognized as Realtor of the Year by the Austin Board of Realtors, Broker of the Year by the Austin Board of Realtors  and the Manager of the Year by the Austin Platinum Top 50. In addition to his professional successes, David has served in multiple leadership capacities, including past Secretary, Treasurer, and Chairman of the Board for ABoR. His service also includes several ABoR committees, such as the CEO Review Committee, as well as Strategic Planning, and Government Affairs Committees. He’s served on the Realty Roundup Committee, Future Leadership Council, and as MC at the WCR Style show. David has also served on the MLS Task force, and Actris Board of Directors. He has been a TREPAC Trustee and has served in numerous Texas Realtor capacities including the Issues Mobilization, Grievance Committee, Government Affairs, and Fundraising. He has been a Texas Realtor Director and is currently a Regional Vice President sitting on the Executive board of the Texas Realtors. He was awarded the Chairman’s Special Recognition Award by ABoR and has been a designated spokesman for ABoR in the Austin American Statesman. Last but not least, David is a TREC certified MCE and Core Class Instructor.

His personal life is the one he counts as most successful. David is a loving husband and father to four children and grandfather of two. He attends Austin Ridge Bible Church with his wife.
