TRLP Application

2026 marks the 17th HAR-facilitated Texas Realtors® Leadership Program. The program’s core mission is to cultivate and develop community and association leaders, equipping them to make meaningful contributions while enhancing personal and professional growth.

Program Details

The Texas Realtors® Leadership Program (TRLP) provides a platform for participants to connect with driven leaders and engage in deep learning centered on leadership and community issues.

Who Should Apply?

Open to full-time Realtors® in good standing with at least two years of experience as of March 12, 2026. Applicants must attend all modules and submit the application by 5:00 PM on Friday, March 20, 2026.

This opportunity is open to all Realtor® members in good standing with HAR who meet these criteria.

2026 TRLP Session Schedule

All modules run from 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM unless otherwise noted. Breakfast and lunch are included.

Session One: Learning to Lead (Overnight Retreat)

April 21–22, 2026 (Galveston, Texas)

• Includes hotel (April 21), meals, and group dinner on April 21.

Session Two: Spokesperson Training

May 14, 2026

• May run until approximately 6:00 PM.

Session Three: Building Your Team

June 10–11, 2026

Session Four: Time Management and Life Balance Renewal

June 24, 2026

Session Five: Law, Legislature and Leadership (Austin Trip)

July 29, 2026

5:00 AM – 8:00 PM, charter bus travel.

August 14, 2026

How can I apply?

What is the deadline?

Applications must be submitted by Friday, March 20, 2026, at 5pm. Any application received after this date will not be considered for participation.

Can I make changes to my submitted application?

No. All submissions are final. For any questions or inquiries about corrections, please contact Rita Blevins at 713-629-1900 ext. 1263 or email Rita@har.com before Friday, March 20, 2026.

What is the Selection Process?

The Leadership Selection Task Force will review all completed applications that are submitted by the deadline. Due to space limitations, not all eligible applicants are guaranteed acceptance into the program.

Can my broker or colleague provide supporting letters?

Recommendation letters in support of your application can be written by anyone you have worked with or for. They must be submitted online via the link on the application form. No e-mail, faxes, or snail mail will be accepted. A minimum of two letters of recommendation is required.

How will I know if my application was received?

An e-mail acknowledgment will be sent to the address listed in the application to confirm receipt of the submitted form. If it's determined that the application is incomplete or missing some information a second e-mail will be sent.

How and when will I be notified of the Selection Committee's decision?

All applicants will be notified of their status via e-mail or phone by Thursday, March 26, 2026.

Is there a fee for the program?

Yes, the cost for the HAR Texas REALTORS® Leadership Program is $749 and is payable upon acceptance into the program. Payments can be made with a check and/or credit card. All payments must be made in full on or before Friday, April 17th at 5pm.

If selected, do I have to attend ALL sessions?

Yes. To graduate from the Leadership Program, Realtors® must attend all sessions and participate in the leadership project. This project will require voluntary time and collaboration outside of the program's monthly sessions.

How long are the sessions and where will they be held?

All sessions will be held at an HAR location or at a location in the HAR membership service area. All sessions will be a full day (approx. 8:30am-5pm) apart from the overnight retreat, one day bus trip to Austin and the Spokesperson training sessions. The overnight retreat is 2 full days with a mandatory dinner on night one. The bus trip will be an extended day (approx. 5am-8pm) and Spokesperson training will be a longer day (approx. 8:30am-6pm).
