2023 marks the 14th HAR facilitated Texas Realtors® Leadership Program. The mission of the Texas Realtors® Leadership Program is to develop community and organizational leaders to become contributors to their community and their businesses and enrich their personal and professional lives.


How can I submit an application?
Click here to access the Application Form. (Applications will be available beginning December 5th 2022).


Who's eligible to apply?
Any Realtor® member of the Houston Association of Realtors® who is in good standing. Applicants must be a full-time Realtor® and have been in the business for no less than two years as of March 17, 2023.

 

Who is the Texas Realtors® Leadership Program intended for?                                              The program is an advanced leadership program geared toward and any and all Realtors® who have been in the business as least 2 years and are interested in developing themselves personally and professionally. Applicants must be a full-time Realtor® and have been in the business for no less than two years as of March 17, 2023.

 
What is the deadline?                                                                                                                    Applications must be submitted by March 17, 2023 at 5pm. Any application received after this date will not be considered for particiaption. 

 

Can I make changes to my submitted application?
No. All submissions are final. For any questions or inquiries about corrections, please contact Rita Blevins at 713-629-1900 ext 1263 or email before March 17, 2023.


What can I expect from the program?
TRLP offers participants and graduates an ongoing opportunity to meet other motivated leaders and to share an intensive learning experience that focuses on community issues and leadership skills. The purpose of TRLP is to prepare Texas Realtors® to meet future challenges. The program provides participants with lectures, seminars, guest speakers, group discussions and leadership exercises that address vital issues affecting Texas Realtors®. The dynamic format stimulates vigorous and animated discussions and involvement by all participants.


What is the Selection Process?
The Leadership Selection Task Force will review all completed applications that are submitted by the deadline. Due to space limitations, not all eligible applicants are guaranteed acceptance into the program.


Can my broker or colleague provide supporting letters?
Recommendation letters in support of your application can be written by anyone you have worked with or for. They must be submitted online via the link on the application form. No e-mail, faxes, or snail mail will be accepted. A minimum of two letters of recommendation are required.


How will I know if my application was received?
An e-mail acknowledgment will be sent to the address listed in the application to confirm receipt of the submitted form. If it's determined that the application is incomplete or missing some information a second e-mail will be sent.


How and when will I be notified of the Selection Committee's decision?
All applicants will be notified of their status via e-mail or phone by March 29, 2023.


Is there a fee for the program?
Yes, the fee for the TRLP program is $649. If selected, the fee would be due on or before April 26, 2023. *Payment Plan Option is available for all members selected to participate.


If selected, do I have to attend ALL sessions?
Yes. To graduate from the Leadership Program, Realtors® must attend all sessions and participate in the leadership project. This project wil require voluntary time and collaboration outside of the program's monthly sessions.

 

How long are the session and and where will they be held?                                                        All sessions will be held at an HAR location or at a location in the HAR memebership service area. All sessions will be a full day (approx. 8:30am-5pm) with the exception of the overnigyht retreat, one day bus trip to Austin and the Spokesperson training sessions. The overnight retreat is 2 full days with a mandatory dinner on night one. The bus trip will be an extended day (approx. 5am-8pm) and Spokersperson training will be a longer day (approx. 8am-6pm).
