Crespo Elementary School's two out of seven distinctions are in Mathematics and post-secondary. Lewis Elementary School has no distinction.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, the dominant group in Lewis Elementary School is Hispanics who make up nearly 84.17% of student population, followed by African Americans (14.12%), Whites or Caucasians (1.57%) and Asians (0.14%). There is no Native Americans and Two or More Racesstudents in the school.

Based on household incomes, Lewis Elementary School’s economically disadvantaged students is slightly higher at 97.00% compared to 93.97% at Crespo Elementary School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Lewis Elementary School has a significantly higher number of English Language Learners comprising 70.76% of its student population compared to 75.69% at Crespo Elementary School.
In addition, Lewis Elementary School has 70.76% bilingual students, 8.27% are in the gifted and talented program, while 5.99% are in the special education program. This stacks up against Crespo Elementary School with 73.62% bilingual students, 11.38% gifted and talented students and 7.07% students in the special education program.
