When we compared Keller Middle School, which is a part of PASADENA ISD, with Miller Intermediate, which is a part of PASADENA ISD, we noted a big difference in ratings.

Keller Middle School’s regular student population is 646 with a 12.3 students/teacher ratio. The student population at Miller Intermediate is 880 students and a 13.8 students/teacher ratio.

Performance Indicators

Keller Middle School earned a State accountability rating of C (70-79) based on three domains: student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps. Scores are scaled from 0 to 100 to align with letter grades. The school scored 65 in student achievement, 79 in school progress and 73 in closing performance gaps. It scored 77 overall in post-secondary readiness, a broad term that refers to student preparedness to undertake multiple pathways after graduation, or specifically, their preparedness for college education.

On the other hand, Miller Intermediate performed excellent to earn a State accountability rating of A. The school posted 80 in student achievement, 92 in school progress, 86 in closing performance gaps and 90 overall in post-secondary readiness.

Miller Intermediate's six out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Science, Social Studies, post-secondary, with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps. Keller Middle School has no distinction.
