When we compared Deady Middle School, which is a part of HOUSTON ISD, with Attucks Middle School, which is a part of HOUSTON ISD, we noted a slight difference in ratings.

Attucks Middle School's five out of seven distinctions are in Mathematics, Social Studies, post-secondary, with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps. Deady Middle School has no distinction.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, the dominant group in Deady Middle School is Hispanics who make up nearly 94.74% of student population, followed by African Americans (3.75%), Whites or Caucasians (1.05%), Asians (0.15%), Native Americans (0.15%) and Two or More Races (0.15%).
At Attucks Middle School, African Americans are the biggest group, comprising 65.66% of student population, followed by Hispanics (30.83%), Two or More Races (1.75%), Whites or Caucasians (1.00%), Asians (0.25%) and Native Americans (0.25%).
Based on household incomes, Deady Middle School’s economically disadvantaged students is higher at 97.00% compared to 96.99% at Attucks Middle School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Deady Middle School has a significantly higher number of English Language Learners comprising 55.86% of its student population compared to 17.29% at Attucks Middle School.
