When we compared Cesar Chavez Primary School, which is a part of FORT WORTH ISD, with Tanglewood Elementary School, which is a part of FORT WORTH ISD, we noted a slight difference in ratings.

Tanglewood Elementary School's six out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Science, post-secondary, with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps. Cesar Chavez Primary School has no distinction.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, the dominant group in Cesar Chavez Primary School is Hispanics who make up nearly 88.44% of student population, followed by African Americans (6.21%), Whites or Caucasians (4.07%), Asians (1.07%) and Two or More Races (0.21%). There is no Native Americans student in the school.
At Tanglewood Elementary School, Whites or Caucasians make up 68.14% of student population, followed by African Americans (10.22%), Hispanics (9.42%), Asians (8.62%) and Two or More Races (3.61%). There is no Native Americans student in the school.
Based on household incomes, Cesar Chavez Primary School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly higher at 94.00% compared to 16.63% at Tanglewood Elementary School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Cesar Chavez Primary School has a significantly higher number of English Language Learners comprising 62.74% of its student population compared to 6.61% at Tanglewood Elementary School.
In addition, Cesar Chavez Primary School has 59.74% bilingual students, 7.92% are in the gifted and talented program, while 16.92% are in the special education program. This stacks up against Tanglewood Elementary School with 6.21% bilingual students, 24.05% gifted and talented students and 8.22% students in the special education program.
