Apollo Junior High School earned a State accountability rating of C (70-79) based on three domains: student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps. Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.

It is in this area where the two schools differ. Apollo Junior High School’s two out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA) and Social Studies. Webb Middle School's four out of seven distinctions are in Science, Social Studies, with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps.

Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Hispanics comprise the biggest group at Apollo Junior High School. They make up for 39.08% of student population, followed by African Americans (27.13%), Whites or Caucasians (20.65%), Asians (8.53%), Two or More Races (4.27%) and Native Americans (0.17%).

The student population at Webb Middle School is also predominantly by Hispanics at 40.65%, followed by African Americans (21.03%), Asians (19.31%), Whites or Caucasians (15.37%), Two or More Races (3.03%) and Native Americans (0.20%).

Based on household incomes, the Apollo Junior High School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly lower at 60.58% compared to 89.18% at Webb Middle School.

In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Apollo Junior High School has 177 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 30.20% of student population. Webb Middle School has significantly more ELLs at 391 or about 39.53% of student population.

Apollo Junior High School’s bilingual students comprise 29.86%, gifted and talented students, 18.26%, while 20.82% are in the special education program. Webb Middle School bilingual students comprise 37.92%, gifted and talented students, 4.75%, and 16.89% are in the special education program.

Apollo Junior High School's 51 teachers have been working at the campus for an average of 8.1 years with individual teaching experience averaging 12.4 years. Teachers at Webb Middle School, numbering 62 teachers, have been serving the school for an average of 4.3 years with individual teaching experience averaging 7.7 years.

Of its teaching staff, Apollo Junior High School has three teachers serving the school for over 30 years, has five teachers serving the school for 20-30 years, 11 teachers have worked for 11-20 years, 14 teachers have worked for 6-10 years, while 15 teachers have been serving the school for over 1-5 years, including three beginning teachers.
