Kipp Sharpstown College Prep earned a State accountability rating of B (80-89) based on three domains: student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps. Scores are scaled from 0 to 100 to align with letter grades. The school scored 77 in student achievement, 86 in school progress and 90 in closing performance gaps. It scored 87 overall in post-secondary readiness, a broad term that refers to student preparedness to undertake multiple pathways after graduation, or specifically, their preparedness for college education.

Kipp Academy Middle School's five out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Science, Social Studies and post-secondary.

Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, the dominant group in Kipp Sharpstown College Prep is Hispanics who make up nearly 79.85% of student population, followed by African Americans (12.17%), Whites or Caucasians (3.80%), Asians (2.41%), Native Americans (0.89%) and Two or More Races (0.89%).

At Kipp Academy Middle School, Hispanics are the biggest group, comprising 59.65% of student population, followed by African Americans (33.86%), Asians (3.74%), Native Americans (1.18%), Whites or Caucasians (0.98%) and Two or More Races (0.59%).

Based on household incomes, Kipp Sharpstown College Prep’s economically disadvantaged students is slightly higher at 95.56% compared to 91.93% at Kipp Academy Middle School.

In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Kipp Sharpstown College Prep has a significantly higher number of English Language Learners comprising 59.19% of its student population compared to 41.14% at Kipp Academy Middle School.
