Mansfield Timberview High School performed excellent to earn a State accountability rating of A (90-100) based on three domains: student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps. Scores are scaled from 0 to 100 to align with letter grades. The school scored 90 in student achievement, 95 in school progress and 94 in closing performance gaps. It scored 95 overall in post-secondary readiness, a broad term that refers to student preparedness to undertake multiple pathways after graduation, or specifically, their preparedness for college education.

On the other hand, Mansfield Legacy High School earned a State accountability rating of B. The school posted 83 in student achievement, 86 in school progress, 92 in closing performance gaps and 88 overall in post-secondary readiness.

A distinction designation acknowledges districts and campuses for outstanding achievement based on the outcomes of several performance indicators. Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.

It is in this area where the two schools differ. Mansfield Timberview High School's four out of seven distinctions are in Mathematics, post-secondary, with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps. Mansfield Legacy High School’s three out of seven distinctions are in Social Studies, post-secondary and 25% closing performance gaps.

Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, African Americans comprise the biggest group at Mansfield Timberview High School. They make up for 49.58% of student population, followed by Hispanics (24.01%), Asians (12.26%), Whites or Caucasians (10.02%), Two or More Races (3.75%) and Native Americans (0.17%).

The student population at Mansfield Legacy High School is also predominantly by Hispanics at 35.78%, followed by Whites or Caucasians (33.05%), African Americans (22.84%), Two or More Races (4.48%), Asians (3.51%) and Native Americans (0.27%).

Based on household incomes, Mansfield Timberview High School’s economically disadvantaged students is slightly higher at 58.53% compared to 48.75% at Mansfield Legacy High School.

In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Mansfield Timberview High School has 181 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 10.13% of student population. Mansfield Legacy High School has significantly more ELLs at 327 or about 12.74% of student population.

In addition, Mansfield Timberview High School has 9.46% bilingual students, 5.04% are in the gifted and talented program, while 10.86% are in the special education program.
