Colleyville Heritage High School earned a State accountability rating of B (80-89) based on three domains: student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps. Scores are scaled from 0 to 100 to align with letter grades. The school scored 84 in student achievement, 73 in school progress and 75 in closing performance gaps. It is in this area where the two schools differ. Colleyville Heritage High School’s two out of seven distinctions are in Mathematics and Science. Grapevine High School's six out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, post-secondary and with 25% student progress.

Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Whites or Caucasians comprise the biggest group at Colleyville Heritage High School. They make up for 46.57% of student population, followed by Hispanics (22.28%), Asians (14.81%), African Americans (9.31%), Two or More Races (6.21%) and Native Americans (0.54%).

At Grapevine High School, Whites or Caucasians are the biggest group, comprising 54.50% of student population, followed by Hispanics (28.51%), Asians (7.45%), African Americans (5.23%), Two or More Races (3.88%) and Native Americans (0.18%).

Based on household incomes, the Colleyville Heritage High School’s economically disadvantaged students is slightly lower at 21.79% compared to 25.00% at Grapevine High School.

In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Colleyville Heritage High School has 141 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 7.68% of student population. Grapevine High School has significantly more ELLs at 183 or about 11.27% of student population.

In addition, Colleyville Heritage High School has 6.92% bilingual students, 22.60% are in the gifted and talented program, while 9.59% are in the special education program.
