Live Oak Academy earned a State accountability rating of B (80-89) based on three domains: student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps. Scores are scaled from 0 to 100 to align with letter grades. The school scored 89 in student achievement, 75 in school progress and 79 in closing performance gaps. It scored 86 overall in post-secondary readiness, a broad term that refers to student preparedness to undertake multiple pathways after graduation, or specifically, their preparedness for college education.

On the other hand, Jack C Hays High School also earned a State accountability rating of B. The school posted 86 in student achievement, 85 in school progress, 85 in closing performance gaps and 86 overall in post-secondary readiness.

A distinction designation acknowledges districts and campuses for outstanding achievement based on the outcomes of several performance indicators. Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.

Jack C Hays High School's one out of seven distinction is in post-secondary. Live Oak Academy has no distinction.

Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, the dominant group in Live Oak Academy is Hispanics who make up nearly 72.57% of student population, followed by Whites or Caucasians (20.57%), Two or More Races (3.43%), African Americans (2.86%) and Asians (0.57%). There is no Native Americans student in the school.

At Jack C Hays High School, Hispanics are the biggest group, comprising 60.70% of student population, followed by Whites or Caucasians (28.93%), African Americans (4.23%), Two or More Races (3.92%), Asians (1.79%) and Native Americans (0.22%).

Based on household incomes, Live Oak Academy’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly higher at 50.29% compared to 34.81% at Jack C Hays High School.

In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Live Oak Academy has 49 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 28.00% of student population. Jack C Hays High School has significantly more ELLs at 227 or about 9.89% of student population.
