Hargrave High School earned a State accountability rating of B (80-89) based on three domains: student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps. Scores are scaled from 0 to 100 to align with letter grades. The school scored 84 in student achievement, 78 in school progress and 72 in closing performance gaps. It scored 80 overall in post-secondary readiness, a broad term that refers to student preparedness to undertake multiple pathways after graduation, or specifically, their preparedness for college education.

On the other hand, West Fork High School also earned a State accountability rating of B. The school posted 80 in student achievement, 88 in school progress, 90 in closing performance gaps and 89 overall in post-secondary readiness.

A distinction designation acknowledges districts and campuses for outstanding achievement based on the outcomes of several performance indicators. Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.

It is in this area where the two schools differ. Hargrave High School’s two out of seven distinctions are in Mathematics and Social Studies. West Fork High School's five out of seven distinctions are in Mathematics, Social Studies, post-secondary, with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps.

Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Whites or Caucasians comprise the biggest group at Hargrave High School. They make up for 62.82% of student population, followed by Hispanics (31.15%), African Americans (3.44%), Two or More Races (1.55%), Asians (0.52%) and Native Americans (0.26%).

At West Fork High School, Hispanics are the biggest group, comprising 54.57% of student population, followed by Whites or Caucasians (24.00%), African Americans (14.46%), Asians (4.14%), Two or More Races (2.42%) and Native Americans (0.16%).

Based on household incomes, the Hargrave High School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly lower at 33.56% compared to 60.36% at West Fork High School.

In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Hargrave High School has 94 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 8.09% of student population. West Fork High School has significantly more ELLs at 256 or about 20.02% of student population.

In addition, Hargrave High School has 7.49% bilingual students, 8.43% are in the gifted and talented program, while 13.08% are in the special education program. This stacks up against West Fork High School with 19.70% bilingual students, 9.07% gifted and talented students and 10.71% students in the special education program.

Hargrave High School's 77 teachers have been working at the campus for an average of 5.6 years with individual teaching experience averaging nearly 10.8 years. West Fork High School's 92 teachers have been working at the campus for an average of 3.2 years with individual teaching experience averaging close to 8.6 years.
