Campbell Elementary School performed excellent to earn a State accountability rating of A (90-100) based on three domains: student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps. Scores are scaled from 0 to 100 to align with letter grades. The school scored 94 in student achievement, 92 in school progress and 94 in closing performance gaps. Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.

It is in this area where the two schools differ. Campbell Elementary School's three out of seven distinctions are in Science, post-secondary and 25% closing performance gaps. Katy Elementary School’s only distinction designation is in Read/ELA.

Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Asians comprise the biggest group at Campbell Elementary School. They make up for 34.98% of student population, followed by Whites or Caucasians (29.01%), Hispanics (23.12%), African Americans (6.83%), Two or More Races (5.72%) and Native Americans (0.34%).

The student population at Katy Elementary School is also predominantly by Whites or Caucasians at 53.17%, followed by Hispanics (24.64%), African Americans (12.10%), Asians (5.19%) and Two or More Races (4.90%). There is no Native Americans student in the school.
