Taylor High School performed excellent to earn a State accountability rating of A (90-100) based on three domains: student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps. Scores are scaled from 0 to 100 to align with letter grades. The school scored 88 in student achievement, 90 in school progress and 92 in closing performance gaps. It scored 91 overall in post-secondary readiness, a broad term that refers to student preparedness to undertake multiple pathways after graduation, or specifically, their preparedness for college education.

On the other hand, Jordan High School also performed excellent to earn a State accountability rating of A. The school posted 93 in student achievement, 90 in school progress, 95 in closing performance gaps and 94 overall in post-secondary readiness.

A distinction designation acknowledges districts and campuses for outstanding achievement based on the outcomes of several performance indicators. Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.

It is in this area where the two schools differ. Taylor High School’s six out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps. Jordan High School's seven out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, post-secondary, with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps.

Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Whites or Caucasians comprise the biggest group at Taylor High School. They make up for 37.13% of student population, followed by Hispanics (35.06%), Asians (14.22%), African Americans (9.49%), Two or More Races (3.96%) and Native Americans (0.15%).

The student population at Jordan High School is also predominantly by Whites or Caucasians at 32.57%, followed by Asians (29.12%), Hispanics (24.58%), African Americans (9.98%), Two or More Races (3.43%) and Native Americans (0.18%).

Based on household incomes, Taylor High School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly higher at 41.65% compared to 16.59% at Jordan High School.

In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Taylor High School has a significantly higher number of English Language Learners comprising 15.70% of its student population compared to 6.55% at Jordan High School.

In addition, Taylor High School has 15.37% bilingual students, 11.35% are in the gifted and talented program, while 11.35% are in the special education program. This stacks up against Jordan High School with 6.37% bilingual students, 17.37% gifted and talented students and 8.95% students in the special education program.

Taylor High School's 208 teachers have been working at the campus for an average of 7.9 years with individual teaching experience averaging nearly 12.6 years. Jordan High School's 192 teachers have been working at the campus for an average of 5.6 years with individual teaching experience averaging close to 10.2 years.

Of its teaching staff, Taylor High School has nine teachers serving the school for over 30 years, has 35 teachers serving the school for 20-30 years, 62 teachers have worked for 11-20 years, 41 teachers have worked for 6-10 years, while 50 teachers have been serving the school for over 1-5 years, including 11 beginning teachers.
