Flower Mound High School performed excellent to earn a State accountability rating of A (90-100) based on three domains: student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps. Scores are scaled from 0 to 100 to align with letter grades. The school scored 93 in student achievement, 85 in school progress and 95 in closing performance gaps. It scored 94 overall in post-secondary readiness, a broad term that refers to student preparedness to undertake multiple pathways after graduation, or specifically, their preparedness for college education.

On the other hand, Lewisville High School earned a State accountability rating of D. The school posted 69 in student achievement, 70 in school progress, 58 in closing performance gaps and 66 overall in post-secondary readiness.

A distinction designation acknowledges districts and campuses for outstanding achievement based on the outcomes of several performance indicators. Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.

Flower Mound High School's six out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps. Lewisville High School did not earn any distinction.

Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Whites or Caucasians comprise the biggest group at Flower Mound High School. They make up for 50.25% of student population, followed by Asians (28.26%), Hispanics (13.84%), Two or More Races (4.18%), African Americans (3.07%) and Native Americans (0.32%).

At Lewisville High School, Hispanics are the biggest group, comprising 60.74% of student population, followed by African Americans (18.83%), Whites or Caucasians (11.05%), Asians (5.73%), Two or More Races (3.05%) and Native Americans (0.45%).

Based on household incomes, the Flower Mound High School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly lower at 7.09% compared to 66.92% at Lewisville High School.

In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Flower Mound High School has 144 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 4.20% of student population. Lewisville High School has significantly more ELLs at 1613 or about 40.34% of student population.

Flower Mound High School’s bilingual students comprise 3.68%, gifted and talented students, 21.96%, while 10.74% are in the special education program. Lewisville High School bilingual students comprise 39.66%, gifted and talented students, 7.88%, and 18.88% are in the special education program.

Flower Mound High School's 213 teachers have been working at the campus for an average of 10.1 years with individual teaching experience averaging nearly 14.9 years. Lewisville High School's 301 teachers have been working at the campus for an average of 7.9 years with individual teaching experience averaging close to 12.6 years.

Of its teaching staff, Flower Mound High School has 12 teachers serving the school for over 30 years, has 55 teachers serving the school for 20-30 years, 79 teachers have worked for 11-20 years, 34 teachers have worked for 6-10 years, while 29 teachers have been serving the school for over 1-5 years, including four beginning teachers.
