The Lagrone Academy earned a State accountability rating of B (80-89) based on two domains: student achievement and school progress. Scores are scaled from 0 to 100 to align with letter grades. The school scored 88 in student achievement, 86 in school progress and closing performance gaps not applicable. It scored 88 overall in post-secondary readiness, a broad term that refers to student preparedness to undertake multiple pathways after graduation, or specifically, their preparedness for college education.

On the other hand, Memorial High School also earned a State accountability rating of B. The school posted 85 in student achievement, 75 in school progress, 90 in closing performance gaps and 87 overall in post-secondary readiness.

A distinction designation acknowledges districts and campuses for outstanding achievement based on the outcomes of several performance indicators. Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.

It is in this area where the two schools differ. The Lagrone Academy's two out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA) and Science. Except for Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Memorial High School earned one out of seven distinctions.

Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Whites or Caucasians comprise the biggest group at The Lagrone Academy. They make up for 45.28% of student population, followed by Hispanics (30.19%), African Americans (18.40%), Two or More Races (3.30%), Asians (1.89%) and Native Americans (0.47%).

The student population at Memorial High School is also predominantly by Whites or Caucasians at 34.24%, followed by Asians (25.75%), Hispanics (18.72%), African Americans (14.96%), Two or More Races (5.08%) and Native Americans (1.25%).

Based on household incomes, The Lagrone Academy’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly higher at 37.74% compared to 19.69% at Memorial High School.

In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, The Lagrone Academy has 14 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 6.60% of student population. Memorial High School has significantly more ELLs at 81 or about 5.64% of student population.

In addition, The Lagrone Academy has 6.13% bilingual students, 7.55% are in the gifted and talented program, while 8.49% are in the special education program. This stacks up against Memorial High School with 5.50% bilingual students, 14.20% gifted and talented students and 10.51% students in the special education program.

The Lagrone Academy's 16 teachers have been working at the campus for an average of 4.8 years with individual teaching experience averaging nearly 8.7 years. Memorial High School's 108 teachers have been working at the campus for an average of 5.7 years with individual teaching experience averaging close to 12.6 years.

Of its teaching staff, The Lagrone Academy no teacher serving the school for over 30 years, has one teacher only serving the school for 20-30 years, four teachers have worked for 11-20 years, seven teachers have worked for 6-10 years, while five teachers have been serving the school for over 1-5 years, and school has no beginning teacher. Memorial High School has four teachers serving the school for over 30 years, has 16 teachers serving the school for 20-30 years, 37 teachers have worked for 11-20 years, 25 teachers have worked for 6-10 years, while 23 teachers have been serving the school for over 1-5 years, including three beginning teachers.

In both schools, female teachers outnumber the male teachers. The Lagrone Academy employs 11 female teachers and five male teachers. Of its teaching staff, one teacher is in special education without any assistance. The school also employs one staff members in the school administration department and two more working as school support staff.

On the other hand, Memorial High School employs 69 female teachers and 39 male teachers. Of its teaching staff, 11 special education teachers are being assisted by 13 teachers aides or paraprofessionals.
