N Garland High School performed excellent to earn a State accountability rating of A (90-100) based on three domains: student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps. N Garland High School bagged all seven distinction awards in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, post-secondary, with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps. Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Hispanics comprise the biggest group at N Garland High School. They make up for 49.38% of student population, followed by Asians (22.20%), African Americans (12.07%), Whites or Caucasians (9.61%), Native Americans (4.34%) and Two or More Races (2.26%).

The student population at Sachse High School is also predominantly by Whites or Caucasians at 30.15%, followed by Hispanics (29.77%), African Americans (21.08%), Asians (12.96%), Two or More Races (4.09%) and Native Americans (1.64%).

Based on household incomes, N Garland High School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly higher at 71.07% compared to 44.47% at Sachse High School.

In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, N Garland High School has a significantly higher number of English Language Learners comprising 32.28% of its student population compared to 13.44% at Sachse High School.
