Cast Tech High School performed excellent to earn a State accountability rating of A (90-100) based on three domains: student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps. Scores are scaled from 0 to 100 to align with letter grades. The school scored 89 in student achievement, 89 in school progress and 92 in closing performance gaps. It scored 90 overall in post-secondary readiness, a broad term that refers to student preparedness to undertake multiple pathways after graduation, or specifically, their preparedness for college education.

On the other hand, Lanier High School earned a State accountability rating of C. The school posted 71 in student achievement, 78 in school progress, 69 in closing performance gaps and 75 overall in post-secondary readiness.

A distinction designation acknowledges districts and campuses for outstanding achievement based on the outcomes of several performance indicators. Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.

Cast Tech High School's seven out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, post-secondary, with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps. Lanier High School did not earn any distinction.

Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, the dominant group in Cast Tech High School is Hispanics who make up nearly 88.91% of student population, followed by Whites or Caucasians (6.43%), African Americans (2.66%), Asians (1.33%) and Two or More Races (0.44%). There is no Native Americans student in the school.

At Lanier High School, Hispanics make up 92.72% of student population, followed by Whites or Caucasians (2.59%), African Americans (2.35%), Asians (1.85%), Two or More Races (0.25%) and Native Americans (0.19%).

Based on household incomes, the Cast Tech High School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly lower at 64.08% compared to 96.54% at Lanier High School.

In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Cast Tech High School has 53 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 11.75% of student population. Lanier High School has significantly more ELLs at 451 or about 27.84% of student population.

Cast Tech High School’s bilingual students comprise 11.53%, gifted and talented students, 17.29%, while 12.20% are in the special education program. Lanier High School bilingual students comprise 27.35%, gifted and talented students, 6.11%, and 16.60% are in the special education program.

Lanier High School's 104 teachers have been working at the campus for an average of 6.9 years with individual teaching experience averaging close to 9.4 years.
