Clinton Powell

Clint Powell was born in Austin, Texas, and raised in Pleasanton, Texas. He graduated from Pleasanton High School in 1988 and then attended Texas A&I University in Kingsville. Finding that college required more focus than he anticipated, Clint joined the Air Force, where he served during Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm. He later completed his Bachelor's degree at Southwest Texas State University (now known as Texas State University) and earned his MBA in 2003 from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Clint is happily married to his high school classmate, Ami, and they have two children: Hayden and Morgan. With a strong commitment to service and a love for his country, Clint has contributed to his community, state, and nation through various civic/nonprofit organizations as well as professional associations. His time as a council member from 2008 to 2011 and as mayor from 2011 to 2018—and again from 2021 to 2024—has provided him with a deep understanding of his community's needs and effective ways to address them. Currently, he serves as an officer in the Texas State Guard while also participating in several other organizations and local events. When not working in real estate, Clint pursues his passion for aviation by flying as a contract pilot. He holds an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with multiple type ratings; throughout his career, he has worked as a flight instructor, charter pilot, airline pilot, and contract pilot. He has also earned is Military Relocation Professional (MRP) designation. In his free time, Clint enjoys hunting and fishing; team roping; reading; engaging in outdoor activities; spending time with family and friends.
