Clara Mattox

With a real estate career that began in 1981, Clara Mattox brings more than four decades of experience and leadership to the commercial real estate industry. She launched her career with First General Realty, representing custom home builders throughout northwest Harris County. She later expanded her expertise with Jim West & Co./Henry S. Miller, where she continued to develop a strong foundation in brokerage and client representation. After several years in the Oil & Gas sector, Clara returned to real estate full-time in 2014 as a commercial agent with Keller Williams Memorial.

In 2018, Clara and her husband, Steve Mattox, established KW Commercial Energy Corridor, the commercial division of KW Memorial, where she served as Director of Operations. In this leadership role, Clara supported agent development, operational efficiency, and the strategic growth of the commercial brokerage.

In November 2024, Clara joined Marlowe Commercial Group, LLC as Director of Operations and Compliance, bringing her extensive experience in organizational management, compliance oversight, and client-service excellence to one of Houston’s growing commercial real estate firms.

A native Houstonian, Clara has long been involved in community engagement, including active service on the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Speakers Committee. She studied at both Texas A&M University and the University of Houston, and her 35-plus years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry have given her a deep understanding of Houston’s economic landscape and growth corridors. From Galveston to Bryan/College Station and Sugar Land to Huntsville, Clara is exceptionally familiar with the Greater Houston region and surrounding markets.

Clara’s broad real estate experience includes medical, retail, industrial, and office leasing, as well as multifamily, commercial land, industrial sales, and farm and ranch transactions. She is known for her professionalism, local market insight, and commitment to providing clients with strategic, data-driven guidance.
