Raised in Woodland Heights, Brad was born into the real estate business and licensed as a Realtor in 1988. He proudly worked in his family's real estate business for 20 years until the retirement of his mother, Dawn Shumway. Seeking more exposure to the operations side of a larger firm, he joined Heritage Texas Properties and Later John Daugherty Realtors before Opening his own firm Pin Drop Real Estate. Brad chose to start his own firm because of its agility, handpicked staff, and passion for urban Houston, committing to strengthen his presence in Houston's popular established historical communities and bring renewed interest and exposure to a few forgotten neighborhoods with their own history, value, and great architecture. Brad loves giving back to the local community. He is active in neighborhoods threatened by business encroachment and density concerns. He has always been committed to the beautification and reforesting of the local esplanades, parks, and neighborhood and schools in the intercity. He is also very active in the neighborhood and considers great place to both live and invest, while eagerly promoting commercial services development for the corridors that further solidify its desirability and property values of each neighborhood. Brad continue to walk that path by supporting Woodland Heights and other nearby neighborhoods with dedicated involvement. Brad is proud of his stellar reputation for high energy, hard work, and willingness to go the extra mile for both buyers and sellers. He takes time to educate clients about the market and is passionate about the importance of "re-sale perspective."
