MY WHY...
- After 30 years in retail, I followed my heart into real estate because I wanted a career where I could truly make a difference. Looking back, I believe God was guiding me toward this path long before I understood why. I never imagined that my own family’s experience would reveal the purpose He had placed in my heart.
- When my mom was diagnosed with multiple myeloma cancer, I was grateful to have the flexibility as a REALTOR® to be by her side. I traveled from Houston to Fort Worth for her treatments, helped manage her care, and eventually brought her into my home in Houston so we could focus on getting her the support, care, and treatments she needed.
- That time in my life changed me forever. As her daughter, my greatest desire was to make sure she never felt alone and to make things easier for her. But instead, I found myself overwhelmed by the many decisions, resources, and details that came with such a major transition.
- I was no longer just her daughter—I became the person responsible for coordinating everything. I was searching for answers, finding resources, making decisions, and managing all the moving pieces when what I truly wanted was to simply be there as her daughter.
- It was one of the hardest experiences my family and I have ever faced. I remember wishing there was someone who could step in, provide guidance, and help carry the weight of all the decisions so I could focus on what mattered most—being present with my mom.
- Through this experience, God placed a question on my heart, “How do other seniors and their families manage these transitions without someone to guide them?”
- I realized my experience was not meant to end with my own family. God was preparing me to help others so they would have someone beside them—not just to help with the details, but to provide compassion, understanding, trusted resources, and a caring hand through the process. That became my mission. After my mom reached remission, God gave me another challenge when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Even through that difficult time, He continued to strengthen my faith and remind me of the purpose He had placed in my life. Today, I can honestly say that I love my career, and I am grateful that God led me to it. Serving seniors and their families is more than a profession—it is a calling. I am honored to walk alongside families during some of life’s most emotional transitions and help them move forward with compassion, hope, and confidence.
