  • Katja moved from Mexico to The Woodlands in 2010 and received her Real Estate license 4 years later. She moved to Tomball in December 2018 and joined the Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Gary Greene in January, 2020. She holds a special interest in the Residential real estate market in North Houston and surrounding areas. Katja is also fluent in German and Spanish, from her time spent living in Germany and Mexico, which has been a great tool in her career. She has lived in different countries and cities throughout her life and feels that it has made it easy to identify with clients from all different backgrounds. After serving an 18-month-long mission their oldest is now studying at Brigham Young University. Their middle son is has worked as software developer and is serving a mission in the Washington DC area, and her youngest son is a senior in Tomball High School. Her husband has worked in construction as an inspector, warranty specialist, in the pool business, and as a home-builder. A lot of her free time is spent volunteering at her kid's school and church. Katja loves her Real Estate career because it gives her an opportunity to keep learning every day, and the chance to meet new people, as well as helping her clients to fulfill their dream and preparing for new opportunities and adventures. She is grateful to say that many times a friendship has developed with clients, and they have stayed closely connected after closing.

    As they say, all start in the family, all is learned in the family. Being daughter of a builder/developer, my childhood memories are all about buildings, floor plans, construction materials, clients and deals.

    And that is what I learned in the family and that is how I became a realtor. My formal education followed a path from Political Sciences to International Relations (BA) and then to Public Policy (MA). Early in my professional career, I got into marketing construction materials in international markets. I worked with clients across the world ranging from Taiwan to USA/CANADA, South Africa to Russia, Middle East to Mediterranean countries to Europe. In the meantime, my fortunes took me around. I lived in Sherborne, Oxford, Essex for a short time. I was in New York a couple of years. I enjoyed Iowa more than 20 years and Iowa is where I started real estate. I am a resident of Houston area since 2008 and practicing in The Woodlands, Klein, Spring, Conroe and the surrounding areas.

    In this line of work, nothing beats seeing the happiness of the clients in buying their dream homes or selling their major investment in smooth transaction and knowing that I had a role in it. As a full time real estate agent with more than 10 years of experience, I came to know that this is what counts at the end. And what is the most important is: Real Estate with Happy Smiles !

    I am married to Kristin Lee Sanders, whom I met at Baylor. We live in The Woodlands Village of Panther Creek with our 5 wonderful kids (girl,boy,girl,identical twin boys). I office in the same building with my wife in The Woodlands where she is a Financial Advisor/Certified Financial Planner (CFP) with Ameriprise Financial.

    I was born and raised in Hot Springs, Arkansas where my parents recently relocated from to The Woodlands. I loves to play golf (don't get to very often), tennis (really don't get to very often), and most of all spend time with his family doing whatever the kids want to do. The family attends Crossroad Baptist Church where we are involved in Sunday School and the Childrens Program.  We've been blessed to serve our community, church, and school (The Woodlands Christian Academy) in many ways over the years.
