Linda Niehuus has been involved in real estate, in some form or fashion, since 1973, during which time she worked as a sales associate in the Memorial area. When living internationally, she put her agent skills on 'hold,' but continued to own and manage rental property. Now a long-time resident of Austin County, Linda specializes in country homes, farms, ranches and equestrian facilities. She enjoys listing and showing properties in Brenham, Bellville, Fayetteville, New Ulm and other the surrounding areas--working in a four-county area. "Real estate is what I know and love," she says. "It's often the most important investment a person makes and can become a wealth-builder, as well as a style of living." It's no surprise that Linda's diverse background and international experiences have proved advantageous to her career. "Everything I have ever done professionally has involved working with people, often from vastly different backgrounds, to help them define and meet their needs." "Moving from Paris, France to Nelsonville, Texas was quite a culture shock," says Linda. "We had to learn about ranching and raising animals. It was a real learning curve for several years, so I understand others who are in similar situations." Linda and her family owned and operated a 76 acre cow/calf and horse ranch named "HayWire Ranch" for 19 years, in addition to owning and managing investment properties in Houston, Austin and Bellville. When she's not working, Linda enjoys riding horses, gardening, scuba diving, and biking.

Originally from Southeast Texas, Julia's journey to bluebonnet country is a little different than most. After High School graduation, Julia bundled up and headed North for college in Kansas, to compete on a National Champion Collegiate Livestock Judging Team. After completing her time there, she transferred to Texas A&M University, where she met a 6'8 boy from Brenham, who used to try to cheat off her homework! After graduation, Julia and Matt were married and moved back to his hometown. Julia's passion for real estate grew deeper as she was amazed by the rolling hills and bluebonnets of Washington County...remember, she is from the flat lands of SETX, so a hill was basically a mountain to her! The community of Washington County was so welcoming and she strives to welcome others into this area, with the same hospitality she was shown.

I owned my business from 2001, until retiring in 2013. I have worked in banking, insurance and accounting prior to becoming my own boss. I became a Realtor in 2014, and a Broker with my own company, Remmert Real Estate, in 2019.
I have always worked in customer service and find helping customers rewarding by listening, understanding and finding solutions to their personal needs. In her early 20s, Karla moved to Houston to work as a model for Neiman Marcus. She soon transitioned into investment banking, taking an entry-level position with Schneider Bernet and Hickman, an investment banking firm based in Dallas. By age 22, she had earned her license to trade securities and moved to Shearson Lehman Brothers where she traded interest-rate futures for regional Texas banks. She worked as an investment banker for 10 years and finished her career at Smith Barney. Along the way, Karla married and raised two sons and a daughter, bought a small farm in Austin County and ran a horse-breeding operation, and threw herself into hosting large political fund-raisers.
Seeking to combine her financial acumen and love for architecture and houses, Karla obtained her Texas real estate license in 2013. She represents buyers and sellers of all ages and price ranges throughout Houston to sell and purchase historical properties, Gulf Coast condominiums and homes, country ranches, and city properties.
For many years, Karla was a dedicated and influential volunteer, devoting considerable time and resources to supporting Special Olympics athletes and coaches as well as Triumph Over Kids Cancer (TOKC). As a Realtor, her schedule is a busy one but, whenever she can, Karla heads for the farm or the Texas coast to fish and kayak.
