Real Estate has been Barbie’s professional life for almost 35 years. As a native Houstonian and a resident in both inside-the-loop areas and the Memorial area, Barbie has worked with newcomers to Houston as well as clients who have been long time residents of the city. Her commitment to her clients and her tireless effort to find them just the right home whether it is for purchase or for lease, has generated countless letters of appreciation for Barbie’s efforts. Consistently Barbie is described by her clients and her colleagues as hard working, diligent, energetic, and committed from start to finish of each transaction. Many of the homes in the markets served by Greenwood King are ones that Barbie has been in more than once! She is a walking, human resource on real estate in Houston.

Barbie has listed and sold properties as well as specialized in the lease market over her many years in real estate. She has handled single family, multi family and condo transactions ranging from $65,000 to $3M and continues to turn many of her lease listings into sales over the years she has worked with her clients who have entrusted her with their properties.

Often Barbie turns out the lights at the Kirby office with the security guard in an attempt to stay on top of her active real estate practice.

The mother of two grown sons and was a wife for over 39 years, Barbie claims that the current loves of her life are her four grandchildren whom she spends as much time with as her busy schedule permits. Throughout her years as a Realtor, Barbie has served her community both as a volunteer in her children’s schools and as a volunteer at Texas Children’s Hospital. Additionally, she taught swimming at the YMCA and was a competitive swimmer as well. In what spare time she has, Barbie can be found salt water fishing in the Gulf and loves motor boating. I am a native Houstonian, married to a Bostonian, a self-confessed mama's girl who loves sports, is a little too competitive when it comes to playing fantasy sports that is a proud "big dog" mom, and I have cat that looks like Garfield.

While I am relatively new to real estate, I am experienced in building relationships as I spent ten years at my husband's side working with him in his personal matchmaking service. Naturally, relationships are incredibly important to me, and I believe in the importance of listening to and hearing my clients. Having a strong working relationship helps to achieve the ultimate goal, which I have learned is not necessarily about perfection, but rather it is about finding permanence; that which fits you just right. Along with my husband, I serve as an usher at our church, St. Michael's Catholic Church, and our charity of choice for the last twenty years has been Child Advocates, Inc. where we both have participated in a myriad of Special Projects and I serve as a Court Appointed Advocate. I am also on the Board of the Harris County Child Abuse Task Force. My family and I will always be committed to the children of our community who need a voice.
