Broker Associate Inga Laughlin Smith brings an impressive background in international business to her real estate practice. Inga was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and has been a resident of Houston since 1989. After graduating from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in finance, she moved to Houston to pursue a career in banking. For 10 years, Inga worked in international banking for “Fortune 100” oil and gas clientele handling transactions on both the marketing and credit sides of the business. She applies numerous transferable skills to her real estate practice; specifically, strong negotiation, marketing, contract and documentation skills.

Inga began her real estate career with Martha Turner Sotheby’s International Realty in 2008. She serves clients primarily in the Memorial area, Briargrove, The Heights and other traditional neighborhoods in Houston.

Inga has earned her Master Certified Negotiation designation (MCNE) and firmly believes it is important for her clients to know that she continuously expands her knowledge base. “I feel very strongly about staying current on trends in the industry and keeping myself abreast of the ever changing market.”

A member of Martha Turner Sotheby’s International Realty’s Circle of Excellence, Inga attributes her success to being positive, outgoing and a “hands-on” Realtor. “I love working with people, and I’m a good listener. Inga is married and the mother of three boys. Outside of real estate, she is involved in her boy’s schools, Memorial Middle School and Memorial High School. While her boys attended Frostwood Elementary, Inga was recognized for her volunteerism to the school and received the PTA Lifetime Achievement Award. Inga is a sustaining member of The Junior League of Houston, serves as a member of the Whispering Oaks Civic Club Architectural Committee, and is an active volunteer with the Whispering Oaks Woman’s Club, and an Alumni of Delta Delta Delta Sorority. She enjoys gardening, reading, estate sales, and her boys’ sports activities.

A native Houstonian, it was Chaille's love of the city that led her to a career in real estate. It began with the management and marketing of commercial office buildings, and then grew to include commercial construction and project management, before shifting into the residential sales market in the mid-'80s.

Building upon her successful sales career, she expanded her skills to include relocation services and naturally transitioned her experience and talents into sales management.

As a leader, Chaille's keen understanding and unwavering support of sales associates, combined with her state-of-the-art technology solutions, has translated to a higher level of service to clients and customers.
