Born in Texas and raised in nearby Luling, Lindas love for the Texas hill country originated at a young age. Following her high school graduation, Linda moved to Houston, Texas where she obtained her real estate license while attending the University of Houston. During this time, Linda also owned and operated several successful businesses. She eventually joined the Houston Police Department where she enjoyed a distinguished career for 21 years.
