I'm a realtor, amateur blogger, digital marketing guru, a lover of timeless fashion, a born and raised Texas girl, and an old soul that would rather be reading if left to my own devices. Most days you can find me working from home with a coffee in my hand, and a toddler with scattered toys at my feet, I'm a dog mom to the sweetest bird dog Finn and a wife to my wonderful husband Beau. I'm a big believer in living life walking by faith not sight, and I believe God has a plan that works divinely through others as we are all connected. As a Realtor, I've been featured on the Moms in Real Estate Podcast where I explained how I utilize video as a means to educate and empower my local community. I'm a closet home decor hoarder which comes at a benefit to my clients as I have a secret love of staging homes and interior design. When I'm not busy working on negotiating contracts or looking at pictures of homes you can catch me Chasing a toddler around outside, riding backroads in my husband's jeep (which terrifies me to drive because it's a stick shiftyikes), or probably ordering something off of Target or Amazon! McMeans was in the real estate business for 49 years and my father, Bill McMeans still holds a Broker's license today. I am proud to be a lifelong resident of Washington County and raise my family right where I grew up. My husband, Bobby and I reside in Chappell Hill with our two beautiful daughters, Audrey Grace and Autumn Lee. Buying and Selling real estate can be tough at times. Kay has been actively selling real estate in Houston for over 38 years. Upon graduating high school she followed in her families footsteps and attended/graduated from the University of Mississippi,with a BBA in Marketing. Shortly thereafter she pursued her love for real estate and obtained her license while studying and interning in college. Kay moved to Houston and became one of the youngest real estate brokers at the age of 22 in 1982. During the oil bust in 1986, Kay started her first company that specialized in lender-owned properties.
In 1992 she joined the global company, RE/MAX as an associate broker. Kay has a referral-heavy client base, noting that her longevity in the industry has bolstered her reputation as a trusted expert in the field. Over the years, she has obtained the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), Certified Luxury Home Market Specialist (CLHMS), and is currently working towards her Accredited Land Consultant designation (ALC) with the Realtors Land Institute. She added a new dimension of her business in 2016, country homes and ranch sales in the Bellville, Brenham areas when she moved from the city to the country.
Kay is a longtime member of the RE/MAX 100% club, RE/MAX Plantinum Club and has been inducted into the RE/MAX Hall of Fame. She is a member of HAR and has a 4.92-star rating on the 5-star HAR,and has been praised for her attentiveness,enthusiasm,knowledge and hard work in making a smooth transaction for her clients.
