She lives in Sugar Land, Texas, and is and has been a licensed and practicing Realtor in Texas for many years. The majority of those years, she has spent working in the entire Houston metropolis and surrounding towns.
Some of her favorite areas in which to work are The Heights, Upper Kirby, Lower Kirby, Montrose, Spring Branch, The Galleria area, Memorial, Midtown, Downtown, EADO, Greenway Plaza, the Med Center, Sugar Land, Richmond, Katy, Missouri City and Fulshear, and absolutely anything around water or horses. These are just some of the many areas she works, and she has fun working them all.
She is well versed in local moves and in the moves of transferees to and from destinations all over the world.
Over the years, Sissie has helped many families and individuals move into and out of homes. Her favorite things about doing her job have been getting to know so many incredible people and knowing without a doubt they love their new homes or that their move out was a smooth one.
She has a great working relationship with the many wonderful Builders in the Houston area and knows the intricacies of helping you purchase a brand new home.
She is an avid lover of horses and owns a fabulous Quarter Horse that she has raised since he was a colt.
She grew up on acreage/horse property in Louisiana in a home her parents built with their own hands. That may be why every now and then she accidentally slips into a bit of a Cajun accent or talks in "horse" language. Yes, the bayou and horsemanship are in her blood.
Her two "best" attributes are that she makes a point of hearing you … really hearing you.
And then, she acts on what she heard from you.
That is what sets her apart.
Her ultimate goal in each transaction, whether you are moving into your new home or moving on to your next home, is that you feel like you feel like you got more than you needed from the transaction - that you were genuinely helped and got the the best value for your money, in the least amount of time and with the least amount of stress.

My name is David McClurkin. For over 25 years I was a corporate CPA but after retirement in 2017 decided to become a real estate agent. Now it is possible to join with my wife Sylva who has been a real estate agent since 2001. For years I had provided assistance for her real estate endeavors. At this stage of life, a dominant personal outlook is to search for opportunities to serve others and help them obtain their goals and dreams. Jo Ann has served the real estate community in many leadership roles including Chairman of the Fort Bend PAALS, Chairman of the HAR Fort Bend Networking Group, Chairman of the TREPAC Advisory Group and as a TREPAC Trustee. She currently serves as a Regional Vice President for Texas REALTORS and on the Executive Committee and the Board of Director for both National Women's Council of REALTORS and the National Association of REALTORS. She is also a Federal Political Coordinator for House Representative Troy Nehls. Jo Ann is a Major RPAC Investor and a President's Circle Member, and IN 2019 was inducted into the RPAC Hall of Fame.
Jo Ann is a founding member of Women's Council of REALTORS Fort Bend, serving as President in 1990. She went on to serve as State President in 1996 and in 2018 represented the organization as the National President. Under her direction, Women's Council signed their first International Agreement with Spain, rolled out a new network model to over 250 cities across the country, developed a standard operations agreement for all networks and launched a Foundation for the organization. Additionally, Women's Council rolled out a new 3-year Strategic Plan in 2018 and increased their RPAC numbers to achieve the highest participation rate of any institute, society or council in the NAR family.
Jo Ann is actively involved in her community, having served as Chairman of the Board for the Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce twice, and Treasurer of the Greater Fort Bend Economic Development Council
Jo Ann is actively involved in numerous charitable organizations, including The Arc of Fort Bend "Best in the West" event raising in excess of $5M for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Stevens has also been honored for her many commitments. She received the Local Member of the Year Award, Local Entrepreneur of the Year Award and State Member of the Year Award from Women's Council twice. In 2018 she received the REALTOR of the Year Award from the Houston Association of REALTORS and she has also received the HAR Fort Bend REALTOR of the Year and the prestigious Omega Tau Rho Award from the National Association of REALTORS.
Stevens is a third-generation Texan and graduate of the University of Houston (BBA, Marketing). She has been married to husband Ron Stevens since 1975. The couple lives in Richmond and have four children, six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and 3 Shih Tzus pups.
