It could be said that either, you have a passion for real estate or you simply don't. Without a shadow of doubt, Richard has that passion. He achieved is first real estate license at the age of 18 years old in Johannesburg South Africa. Ever since getting his license, all he has known is residential real estate. Evidence of this, are the best listing and best selling awards he has received in his early years. His passion and energy has served him well. By the age of 21 years old, he was managing an estate agency consisting of 25 experienced estate agents. But that was not enough, with a bold vision and an idea, he decided to go into partnership and start his own residential brokerage in 2009. During this time, Richard earned the esteemed designation of Master Practitioner in Real Estate. He successfully grew the business into a leading estate agency in Alberton & Johannesburg South area in South Africa.
By 2017 a new challenge was calling. He founded Stratton Real Estate in Johannesburg. The business quickly grew into a successful boutique brokerage, which delivered a more personal "white-glove" experience. In 2019, Richard immigrated to Houston Texas, and instantly fell in love with the city and its people. They say, "you might not have been born in Texas, but you got here as quick as you could." For Richard, this is true. He is always very excited to show new comers to Houston why this is the best place for them and their family. Richard's ability to succeed and become a leading estate agent can be attributed to some key traits which makes him stand out from the crowd, namely his high energy, caring, friendly and compassionate nature. When Richard is not shaking up the Houston residential property market, he is spending his time with is beautiful wife Roxanne. Richard's guilty pleasure is Tex-Mex, Texas BBQ and desserts. Growing up just outside of Newcastle, England, he is a huge Newcastle United fan, and he is also a big Rugby fan and not to mention an enthusiastic Texans fan. Richard always welcomes a little friendly banter from opposing sports fans.
