Sheree joined H.P. Properties in 2016. Sheree specializes in the Houston Inner Loop and near Loop neighborhoods of the Heights, Montrose, Garden Oaks, and Oak Forest, to name a few. She has lived in Houston for 30 years and knows the city well. Her passion is vintage bungalow homes in the Houston Heights, and she has refurbished her own circa 1914 Heights Hindu Bungalow which is on the National Historic Registry. Sheree is an avid recycler and green-space advocate for the Heights. She and her neighbors preserved a large green space between their homes which now includes lush native landscaping and three fountains.
She also organized and filed the minimum lot size and set-back requirements for her block in the Heights to discourage breaking lots into smaller units for development. Sheree has been complimented by her clients for her attention to detail, customer service and genuine concern for clients’ best interests. The way you present your home serves as an extension of how much you care about your property and, believe it or not, targets your particular buyer. Presentation can be tricky. If you put effort into the wrong thing, it can derail the whole selling experience and leave you with low offers and long days on the market.
Most sellers I speak with just don't know where to begin or they are overwhelmed so they go to an investor like Opendoor, Offer Pad, or Orchard. What sellers don't know is these investor companies charge an up front 'reselling' fee of 5%-6% to pay for the commissions of the agents who will resell your home AFTER the investor purchases it from you. What seller's also don't know is that these companies give you $20k~ less than market value and then deduct repairs on top of that and still charge an additional 1% transaction fee. If you haven't done the math yet, that is roughly $40k+ of your equity (depending on true market value). They are using your equity to make money so you don't have to do any repairs or have any showings. For very few people, this is a very necessary evil. For most people, you need to run as fast as you can and come find me!
