Before earning his Master's in Education, he served as a third-grade math and science teacher for three years where he earned the Teacher of the Year award and Beginning Teacher of the Year the two consecutive years prior. Santiago has also served the public with the Bexar County Sheriff's Office as a 911 Dispatcher and Operator.
