Americo Mendez is a native of Monterrey, Mexico and arrived in the Greater Houston area when he was 8 years old. Growing up in the waterfront community of Clear Lake, he began his sales and customer service career at the early age 11 selling local newspaper subscriptions door to door, and also worked as a restaurant server all throughout his high school and college years. Americo received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Dallas, after which, he earned his teaching certification and became a certified bilingual teacher in the Austin Independent School District. His experience in Sales and Marketing came as being an accomplished account manager for 9 years in the Texas oil and gas industry. Americo has been a licensed real estate agent since 2006, with over 12 years experience in both residential and commercial transactions. He continues to be an active member of the National, the Texas and the Houston Association of Realtors. He is a proud dad of a beautiful little girl, an active member of his church, volunteers for Habitat for Humanity, The Red Cross and numerous other civic organizations
