She served on the PTO board at her son's public school and worked on many fundraising events at her daughter's private schools. She has served on the Friends Board of Camp for All, the board of the Brookwood Volunteers Association of The Brookwood Community, and has been a volunteer/mentor at Covenant House Texas, a facility that helps homeless young adults.

Nancy has been a docent at the Museum of Fine Art and the Heritage Society in Sam Houston Park, as well as a volunteer with PEP (Prison Entrepreneurship Program) and in Musical Therapy with guitar for hospitals and retirement homes.
