Who am I?, I am glad you asked. I was born and raised in Houston, Tx. I have lived in all areas of Houston so I like to think Im very knowlagble of the city. I am a wife, mother and grand mother. I also am a multi busness owner that has afforded me be well engaged with all walks of life and business arenas.I have an AA degree in Liberal Arts and a few hours shy of a BA in Psychology. In my few years in real estate I have educated myself in the market to provide my clients with the most accurate information. I pride myself on being very honest, educated and always willing to go the extra mile for my clients. Sherry Barker brings the same level of commitment to servicing the real estate needs of her customers and clients at Greenwood King Properties as she gave while serving in key positions for organizations including the March of Dimes and the Parent Teacher Association (PTA). “Working all these years as a volunteer, particularly in schools and my church prepared me well for my new career as a Realtor®,” remarks Barker. “As a result, I have extensive knowledge of neighborhoods and schools inside and outside the loop.

Originally from Tennessee, Barker made Houston her home 24 years ago. Since then, she has given of her time, enthusiasm, and “willingness to go the extra mile” while serving as the “Mothers March of Dimes” chair, a PTA president, vice president and fund raising chair, a member of the Houston Junior Forum, the Houston Bar Auxiliary and Bible study leader. In 1998 she received her real estate license and joined Greenwood King Properties.

Barker is a graduate of Vanderbilt University, the wife of an attorney and the mother of two college students and one high school student. With her background and experience, she is well qualified to assist all home buyers, but especially the first time purchaser.

I have proudly served the citizens of Houston during my time as a Peace Officer.  While serving, I have developed many additional skill sets such as conflict and dispute resolutions, ability to work in a high stress environment, and making critical decisions in a timely and efficient manner.  I enjoy an environment where goals must be achieved, and the highest standards must be met.  I look forward to using my knowledge in the real estate field to work towards an overall goal and mission for my client's, and to provide them with the highest level of excellence and care.
