I was born in Bryan, Texas and I was raised in the Brazos Valley with strong ties to Robertson and Brazos counties. I graduated from Prairie View A&M University in 2002 with a Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering and in 2005 with a Master's of Business Administration. After several years in the education profession, I went back to school at Lamar University and obtained a Mater's of Educational Administration in 2011. I pride myself on being a life long learner. Outside of my educational endeavors, I am a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and participate in various charitable events in the Waller and Harris County areas. My faith leads me and I am a proud member of Fallbrook Church in the Northwest Houston Area. My husband and I settled in Northwest Houston where we have lived for over 13 years and currently reside in Champions with our two daughters.

Get to know Deborah Phillips: I am a native Texan, I was born in San Antonio, TX. My Parents were both Educators-(A Math Teacher & A History Teacher/Football Coach/Administrator) We moved to the Houston Area in 1980. I grew up in North Houston and graduated from Spring H.S. & Texas A&M University. I worked in Corporate America for many yrs doing IT Recruiting/Sales & Microsoft Consulting Svcs/HR Consulting Svcs before becoming a Mother to 3 precious daughters. I stayed home for a few years while the girls were babies and then moved into Real Estate once they were all in school full time. My Husband & I have been together for 20 and married 17 yrs in May.
