Due to my work relocation I will probably need to sell, and the question is for how much.I took the last 10 recent sales in my neighborhood with more or less the same amount of rooms and square footage. I divided the sold price by the square footage. Added them all together and divided by 10 again. The number I obtain was $107.00 and I multiply this by 2405 square feet. It gave me $257,335.00 . Is this the price I should sell my house or go should I go higher by a certain percentage (maybe 6%) since I know they will try to reduce this amount.Would that be a good way to look at it? or there are other ways to calculate the value of my home.

Greetings,In regards to the relo company they will usually want you to use the agent they work with because of the incentives they will give you, the owner when the home sells. In this situation you will benefit more from the relo company the faster you sell your home. It may a good idea to have your agent show you the average days on the market and use the number from this angle to price the home and create a multiple offer situation or "bidding war" between buyers. I have seen many buyers over pay for bank owned properties simply because of pricing and the perception of then getting a good deal. Multiple offers help you go up in price for the right reasons. I have a small apartment complex that I am selling that was a family property. I have never sold apartment buildings before. What is traditionally provided to the buyer from the seller with regards to information, and when? I am getting requests for all sorts of information from buyers, and want to know what is reasonable and acceptable.Many thanks in advance. Greetings,When selling an apartment complex a buyer will ask for proof of rents, expenses as well as maintenance records and more. This is totally different from selling single family home. This property is "income producing" and if you are not aware of how to estimate value then you could end up giving up too much. There are mistakes that an experienced broker would help you avoid and I have sold multi family buildings. Most buyers for apartment buildings will be experienced and if you are not aware of how things work then you could be leaving money on the table for the buyer.
