I'm Janene Dutton, REALTOR® with eXp Realty, and at the heart of everything I do is a genuine passion for helping people. Real estate gives me the opportunity to do something I have naturally done throughout my life: listen, understand what someone truly needs, help solve problems, and stand beside them through important life transitions. Buying or selling a home is rarely just a financial transaction. There is usually a story behind it: a new beginning, a growing family, a relocation, a long-awaited dream, or sometimes an unexpected change in life. I want my clients to know they have someone in their corner who genuinely cares about what happens to them. My special focus includes Luxury, New Construction, Land, Ranch, Cattle & Equestrian properties, but people will always come before properties in my business.

Before real estate, I spent more than two decades in high-level technology sales, working with major companies and executives on complex, multimillion-dollar initiatives. That career taught me how to listen carefully, build lasting relationships, communicate with people at every level, prepare relentlessly, solve difficult problems, and negotiate when the stakes are high. I bring those same tenacious skills to real estate, advocating for my clients with both heart and experience. I don't believe in pushing someone toward a decision because it benefits me. I want to understand what matters to you, what concerns you, and what you're ultimately trying to accomplish, then help you make a decision that's right for your family.

My connection to land, ranch, cattle and equestrian real estate is deeply personal. I grew up on a farm in Minnesota, so horses, animals, land, and country living have always been part of my life. I've also rescued, rehabilitated, and rehomed horses since I was 12 years old. Today I'm proud to serve as a Texas Ambassador and Founding Member of eXp Realty's Land & Ranch division. That lifelong, hands-on experience gives me a perspective on rural and equestrian properties that goes well beyond acreage and amenities. I understand how the land needs to function and the importance of water, fencing, barns, access, terrain, and the countless details that matter when livestock, horses and a rural lifestyle are part of the equation. Combined with my professional background and appreciation for exceptional craftsmanship, that experience naturally complements my work in Luxury, New Construction, Land, Ranch, Cattle & Equestrian real estate.

At the heart of my life is a simple principle my family practiced when I was growing up: leave it better than before you arrived. I've carried that philosophy far beyond the land.
