Are designations worth it?
I've heard two schools of thought when it comes to "designations" (such as SRES). Some say they are plain meaningless to most people and therefore will not help plus it's a waste of your time. Others say this can be a huge boost to your career, especially for people looking at agents online and/or seeking out agents by their designations. If some are worth it and some aren't, which are the designations to go with? What's the scoop?

I have At Home With Diversity (AHWD), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Graduate of the Realtor Institute (GRI), and Texas Realtors Leadership Program (TRLP). Each one of the designations has boosted my education which is the most important thing. The general public is not going to know what anyone of the letters mean necessarily, but they will know that you have more education in your chosen career than someone with no extra letters behind their name.
