Kay Simpson was born in Washington D.C. and raised in Mississippi. Upon moving to Houston in 1969 she embraced a career in sales and marketing. She was the owner of two separate companies for several years before joining The Houston Chronicle sales staff. Her intense sales background has proven to be a tremendous platform for the real estate profession.

Kay is involved in the Clear Lake Chamber of Commerce and has served as Epicurean Chairman and Expo Chairman. She served on the twenty thousand member Sagemont Church Visionary Team from 2013 to 2016 and has been active in the Journey of Promise Widows Ministry since 2012. She serves as president of BellaVita Belles, her neighborhood ladies organization, since 2015.
