Barbara has been selling homes on Galveston Island since 1999. Although she specializes in West End resort property, she also loves helping clients find historic homes in Galveston’s unique neighborhoods. As a former Houstonian who bought her first home in Galveston as a weekend retreat, she easily identifies with the needs of second home buyers who want a tranquil escape.
Having twenty five years in the airline industry prior to becoming a Realtor®, Barbara understands the importance of customer service. She was among the top producers in the West End real estate prior to joining Sand ‘N Sea Properties and she credits her customer service training as a big part of her success.
Professional affiliations include: Galveston Association of Realtors®, Texas Association of Realtors® and National Association of Realtors®. She also is an Accredited Buyer’s Representative and has taken many courses including those focusing on selling luxury properties and staging homes. Barbara’s degree is in sociology with a minor in history and Spanish.
Civic and social organizations include the Executive Career Women of Galveston where she served as Vice President, the Jamaica Janes Women's Club and the Dough Girls, a local investment club where she has served as an officer; the First Thursday Bunch, and Galveston Country Club. She has also volunteered at the Silk Purse Thrift Shop and was on the Board of Directors of the Diocese of Texas Episcopal Church Women and currently serves as a member of Grace Church Foundation Board.
Traveling is a special love for Barbara along with visiting museums, playing bridge and enjoying friends and neighbors. Most special to her is walking on the beach in Galveston or any other beach!. Barbara has two children and three grandchildren in Texas and Georgia.
