Debbie Bates opened the first RE/MAX franchise in Montgomery County with her late husband, Ted Bates, in 1984. The office quickly rose to the #1 position in Montgomery County where it has remained since. Debbie has received many awards, including the Montgomery County Association of Realtors Community Service Award in 1995, 1997 and 2001. She was the Montgomery County Association of Realtors "REALTOR of the Year" in 1996 and received the Montgomery County Women's Council of Organizations Women of Distinction Award in 1995. She was also voted the YMCA Outstanding Woman of the Decade in 1990. Debbie has been a member of many civic and charitable organizations, including the following: The Montgomery County Women's Center, The Club at Carlton Woods Advisory Board Member, Amegy Bank Advisory Board Member, member of Commercial Real Estate Association of Montgomery County (C.R.E.A.M.), Houston Association of Realtors, Texas Association of Realtors and National Association of Realtors. As a fifth generation Houstonian, having grown up in Bellaire, I have watched Houston grow exponentially into the bold and dynamic multi-national, multi-cultural metropolis it is today. Houston has provided the perfect environment to nurture and impart my love of culture to my family with a world-class symphony, opera, ballet and live theater. We love foodie scene in Houston with so many exciting choices-- and with the most restaurants per capita in the U.S. we will never run out of options. My husband and I never considered anywhere but Houston to raise our six children.

When our children were little, in between scouts and sports, we spent many weekends exploring open houses in all of the latest developments springing up on all sides of Houston--The Woodlands, Sugar Land, Friendswood, Katy, Pearland, etc--and we would dream of the perfect house in the perfect neighborhood. Since I always wanted to travel, in my life after being a stay-at-home mom and small business owner, I reinvented myself into a flight attendant. After 17 years of seeing the world with Houston's hometown airline, I decided there really is no place like home. Now, instead of providing first class service at 30,000 feet, I provide first class service to families looking to buy or sell their homes on the ground. As a flight attendant, my goal was to provided the attentive and personal service that I wanted as a passenger. As a REALTOR, my goal is to provide the same kind of first class service to my clients that I would want if I were buying or selling the most important and valuable asset, my home, that I am likely to own. I won't be satisfied until my clients are satisfied that they feel they have received the best value for their money and feel that they have achieved their dream.

Joyce is a native of Houston, Texas, and a graduate of Crosby High School and Champion School of Real Estate. After working as a corporate accountant in the energy field for 20 years, she began her career in real estate in 1997, first as an accountant and office manager with a commercial real estate firm, then as full time real estate agent. With extensive personal connections in the community, and having lived here her entire life; this has enable her to effect real estate transactions that are mutually satisfactory for both buyer and seller. She always includes her personal, honest, caring touch for which she is well known, while keeping her goal to make a difference in peoples lives. Joyce has spent time in Africa, Mexico and Peru doing mission work. She and her husband have a very full personal life, with family and service to community and church. She finds fulfillment in meeting the needs of her family and community while keeping her faith in God as her top piority.
