My client moved overseas and rented out their home in Cypress Area on a 2 year lease. Now, after 1 year, the owners are wanting to return back To the US and move back into their home and want to terminate the lease with the tenant.

Hey Richard, Great Question! I'm sure you've found your answer by now. However, I still wanted to answer for anyone else...If the landlord is moving back to the U.S. and wants the property, the tenant cannot simply be removed if they are under a valid lease agreement. In Texas, while landlords have significant rights, tenants are protected from being evicted arbitrarily during the term of their lease. I hope this helps!
