Westside High School earned a State accountability rating of B (80-89) based on three domains: student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps. Scores are scaled from 0 to 100 to align with letter grades. The school scored 79 in student achievement, 87 in school progress and 92 in closing performance gaps. It scored 89 overall in post-secondary readiness, a broad term that refers to student preparedness to undertake multiple pathways after graduation, or specifically, their preparedness for college education.

On the other hand, George Bush High School earned a State accountability rating of D. The school posted 67 in student achievement, 72 in school progress, 59 in closing performance gaps and 68 overall in post-secondary readiness.

A distinction designation acknowledges districts and campuses for outstanding achievement based on the outcomes of several performance indicators. Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.

Westside High School's seven out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, post-secondary, with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps. George Bush High School did not earn any distinction.

Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Hispanics comprise the biggest group at Westside High School. They make up for 44.82% of student population, followed by African Americans (31.65%), Whites or Caucasians (12.61%), Asians (7.21%), Two or More Races (3.27%) and Native Americans (0.22%).

The student population at George Bush High School is also predominantly by Hispanics at 41.30%, followed by African Americans (36.83%), Asians (13.92%), Whites or Caucasians (4.68%), Two or More Races (2.44%) and Native Americans (0.58%).

Based on household incomes, the Westside High School’s economically disadvantaged students is lower at 67.24% compared to 67.36% at George Bush High School.

In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Westside High School has a significantly higher number of English Language Learners comprising 26.58% of its student population compared to 22.20% at George Bush High School.

George Bush High School's 139 teachers have been working at the campus for an average of 5.9 years with individual teaching experience averaging close to 9.9 years.

Of its teaching staff, Westside High School has five teachers serving the school for over 30 years, has 31 teachers serving the school for 20-30 years, 34 teachers have worked for 11-20 years, 29 teachers have worked for 6-10 years, while 29 teachers have been serving the school for over 1-5 years, including 18 beginning teachers.
