Distinction Designations for Shadow Oaks Elementary School and The Wildcat Way School are not applicable as neither one earned a recognition for outstanding achievement in seven categories.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, the dominant group in Shadow Oaks Elementary School is Hispanics who make up nearly 86.57% of student population, followed by Whites or Caucasians (6.61%), African Americans (3.81%), Two or More Races (1.60%), Native Americans (0.80%) and Asians (0.60%).
The student population at The Wildcat Way School is also predominantly by Whites or Caucasians at 33.22%, followed by Hispanics (30.23%), Asians (18.60%), African Americans (11.30%), Two or More Races (6.31%) and Native Americans (0.33%).
Based on household incomes, Shadow Oaks Elementary School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly higher at 92.18% compared to 54.49% at The Wildcat Way School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Shadow Oaks Elementary School has a significantly higher number of English Language Learners comprising 70.74% of its student population compared to 33.89% at The Wildcat Way School.
Shadow Oaks Elementary School 12.83% are in the special education program, 2.20% are in the gifted and talented program, and bilingual students comprise 71.54% students.
