A distinction designation acknowledges districts and campuses for outstanding achievement based on the outcomes of several performance indicators. Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.
Distinction Designations for Seabrook Intermediate and Creekside Intermediate are not applicable as neither one earned a recognition for outstanding achievement in seven categories.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Whites or Caucasians comprise the biggest group at Seabrook Intermediate. They make up for 60.79% of student population, followed by Hispanics (25.40%), Two or More Races (5.21%), Asians (4.14%), African Americans (4.04%) and Native Americans (0.32%).
The student population at Creekside Intermediate is also predominantly by Whites or Caucasians at 53.17%, followed by Hispanics (31.00%), African Americans (6.45%), Two or More Races (5.20%) and Asians (4.07%). There is no Native Americans student in the school.
Based on household incomes, the Seabrook Intermediate’s economically disadvantaged students is lower at 27.21% compared to 29.19% at Creekside Intermediate.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Seabrook Intermediate has a higher number of English Language Learners comprising 4.36% of its student population compared to 3.96% at Creekside Intermediate.
Seabrook Intermediate’s bilingual students comprise 4.14%, gifted and talented students, 9.67%, while 11.69% are in the special education program. Creekside Intermediate bilingual students comprise 3.51%, gifted and talented students, 3.73%, and 19.91% are in the special education program.
Seabrook Intermediate's 58 teachers have been working at the campus for an average of 9.1 years with individual teaching experience averaging 13.1 years. Teachers at Creekside Intermediate, numbering 65 teachers, have been serving the school for an average of 8.7 years with individual teaching experience averaging 12.5 years.
