Prosper High School performed excellent to earn a State accountability rating of A (90-100) based on three domains: student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps. Scores are scaled from 0 to 100 to align with letter grades. The school scored 90 in student achievement, 73 in school progress and 90 in closing performance gaps. It scored 90 overall in post-secondary readiness, a broad term that refers to student preparedness to undertake multiple pathways after graduation, or specifically, their preparedness for college education.

On the other hand, Plano West Senior High School earned a State accountability rating of B. The school posted 88 in student achievement, 83 in school progress, 70 in closing performance gaps and 83 overall in post-secondary readiness.

A distinction designation acknowledges districts and campuses for outstanding achievement based on the outcomes of several performance indicators. Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.

Plano West Senior High School's four out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Science and Social Studies. Prosper High School has no distinction.

Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Whites or Caucasians comprise the biggest group at Prosper High School. They make up for 44.44% of student population, followed by Asians (25.34%), Hispanics (13.06%), African Americans (10.82%), Two or More Races (5.76%) and Native Americans (0.48%).

The student population at Plano West Senior High School is also predominantly by Asians at 28.91%, followed by Whites or Caucasians (27.82%), Hispanics (25.82%), African Americans (13.18%), Two or More Races (3.76%) and Native Americans (0.51%).

Based on household incomes, the Prosper High School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly lower at 4.66% compared to 21.79% at Plano West Senior High School.

In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Prosper High School has 108 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 2.88% of student population. Plano West Senior High School has significantly more ELLs at 373 or about 14.59% of student population.
