Choosing the best possible elementary school is critical to a child’s foundational development. In Texas, public school districts adopt curriculum standards set by the State Board of Education. The current standards, called Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills, outline what students should be able to learn and do in each course or grade. The curriculum is structured around the fundamentals of mathematics, science, social studies, language arts, music and reading.
When we compared Pk Satellite Centers, which is a part of FORT WORTH ISD, with S S Dillow Elementary School, which is a part of FORT WORTH ISD, we noted a slight difference in ratings.
Pk Satellite Centers has a regular student population of 208 with a 28.8 students/teacher ratio while S S Dillow Elementary School has 425 students and a student-teacher ratio of 15.6 students/teacher ratio.

Distinction Designations for Pk Satellite Centers and S S Dillow Elementary School are not applicable as neither one earned a recognition for outstanding achievement in seven categories.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, African Americans comprise the biggest group at Pk Satellite Centers. They make up for 47.60% of student population, followed by Hispanics (45.67%), Whites or Caucasians (4.33%), Two or More Races (1.44%) and Asians (0.96%). There is no Native Americans student in the school.
At S S Dillow Elementary School, Hispanics make up 75.06% of student population, followed by African Americans (23.06%), Two or More Races (1.18%) and Whites or Caucasians (0.71%). There is no Asians and Native Americansstudents in the school.
Based on household incomes, Pk Satellite Centers’s economically disadvantaged students is higher at 99.52% compared to 98.12% at S S Dillow Elementary School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Pk Satellite Centers has 40 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 19.23% of student population. S S Dillow Elementary School has significantly more ELLs at 243 or about 57.18% of student population.
Pk Satellite Centers has no gifted and talented student, while 4.81% are in the special education program, and bilingual students comprise 18.75% students. S S Dillow Elementary School 4.71% are in the special education program, 4.47% are in the gifted and talented program, and bilingual students comprise 53.41% students.
seven teachers employed at Pk Satellite Centers have been teaching in the school for an average of about 5.6 years with individual teaching experience averaging 11.9 years. The 27 teachers at S S Dillow Elementary School have been serving the school for an average of 10.1 years with individual teaching experience averaging 12.4 years.
Of its teaching staff, Pk Satellite Centers has one teacher only serving the school for over 30 years, no teacher serving the school for 20-30 years, three teachers have worked for 11-20 years, school has no teacher serving 6-10 years, while two teachers have been serving the school for over 1-5 years, including one beginning teacher only. S S Dillow Elementary School has two teachers serving the school for over 30 years, has four teachers serving the school for 20-30 years, ten teachers have worked for 11-20 years, three teachers have worked for 6-10 years, while six teachers have been serving the school for over 1-5 years, including three beginning teachers.
In both schools, female teachers outnumber the male teachers. Pk Satellite Centers has an all-female teaching staff. Of its teaching staff, five teachers are aides or paraprofessionals.
