North Side High School’s regular student population is 1,843 with a student-teacher ratio of 15.7 students/teacher ratio. The student population at Texas Academy Of Biomedical is 379 students and a student-teacher ratio of 17.7 students/teacher ratio.

Scores are scaled from 0 to 100 to align with letter grades. The school scored 66 in student achievement, 72 in school progress and 63 in closing performance gaps. It scored 69 overall in post-secondary readiness, a broad term that refers to student preparedness to undertake multiple pathways after graduation, or specifically, their preparedness for college education.
On the other hand, Texas Academy Of Biomedical performed excellent to earn a State accountability rating of A. The school posted 94 in student achievement, 94 in school progress, 84 in closing performance gaps and 91 overall in post-secondary readiness.
A distinction designation acknowledges districts and campuses for outstanding achievement based on the outcomes of several performance indicators. Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.
Texas Academy Of Biomedical's three out of seven distinctions are in Mathematics, Science and post-secondary. North Side High School has no distinction.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, the dominant group in North Side High School is Hispanics who make up nearly 93.05% of student population, followed by African Americans (3.47%), Whites or Caucasians (2.88%), Asians (0.27%), Two or More Races (0.16%) and Native Americans (0.11%).
At Texas Academy Of Biomedical, Hispanics make up 68.60% of student population, followed by African Americans (17.41%), Whites or Caucasians (9.50%), Asians (3.17%), Two or More Races (1.06%) and Native Americans (0.26%).
Based on household incomes, North Side High School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly higher at 91.81% compared to 74.93% at Texas Academy Of Biomedical.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, North Side High School has a significantly higher number of English Language Learners comprising 39.07% of its student population compared to 15.30% at Texas Academy Of Biomedical.
In addition, North Side High School has 38.31% bilingual students, 18.72% are in the gifted and talented program, while 9.98% are in the special education program. This stacks up against Texas Academy Of Biomedical with 14.78% bilingual students, 37.73% gifted and talented students and 1.32% students in the special education program.
North Side High School's 117 teachers have been working at the campus for an average of 9.4 years with individual teaching experience averaging nearly 12.2 years.
